    Training

    Additional Information

I currently offer 1;1  private training in the following  (Wednesday and Thursday)

Puppy Basic and behavior: Age 8 weeks to 6 months old (6 weeks program)

    • I focus on teaching you and your puppy the importance of engagement and how we train your puppy for new behaviors using a reward-based foundation. We work on the foundation on the 5 basic commands sit, down, stay, come, and place and neutrality .  I also support you and your puppy through his or her development stages and what we can expect from your puppy. Throughout the 6 weeks we also learn the fundamental of leash pressure (slip lead) and leash skills and how we use luring and use of distraction to prepare your puppy for focused heeling at 6 months.  It never too early to start training book today.

Puppy Advance Fundamentals: This program is a continuation of Puppy Basic and Behavior.  The program is recommended for puppies who have started at 8 weeks of age and are waiting to start Advance Obedience at 6 months.

    • We continue building on the skills learned in Puppy Basics and Behavior and start refining those techniques by fading the lure and adding duration and distractions to the commands.  We spend time mastering the basics and focus on building a strong foundation.

Advance Obedience: Age 6 month and over (6-week program)

    •  This program we are going to build on what we started in puppy basics and behavior. You will learn how to solidify your commands through the use of leash pressure and begin to use the leash and or training collar to solidify your dog's obedience. We will also go through a series of proofing exercises which are designed to test the dog's commitment to our commands and help them to develop a resistance to distractions.  Didn't take Puppy Basics or Fundamentals dont worry will create a plan and get you and your 6-month-old puppy up to speed and ready for advance obedience.

    Behavior /Leash Pulling /Reactivity: (6-to-8-week program)

    • This Program we work on problem behaviors by starting at the beginning (a reset) and establishing a good foundation to obedience and leash skills. You and your dog will learn to develop the skills needed to help resolve problemed behaviors.   I offer a consultation and design a success plan around you and your dog's needs.
